Everyone's Doin' It.

Jordo (BB Season 11 love anyone?) and I have a super busy day tomorrow in the city where the population is over 500 and they have more than one gas station.

So it’s the all the rage to host a Get To Know You post which is exactly what were going to do today. Some of you I know pretty well and we’re even so in sync we name our kids the same name but I don’t know a whole lot about my other BFFs. So if you’re a “blurker” (I’m so up on my internet lingo) do me a solid and comment.

Ooooh, and here’s an effing homerun of a writing prompt….Write an “About the Author” like on the backs of books. Dynamite, that idea. BAM. Oh and if you have a blog, leave the link so I can stalk you.

umm hi. My name is Karla and I have a 4 month old son named Gideon (Gus). I have a husband and I do not (yet) have a bulldog that I am fully planning on naming Gnarls Barkley. I love cereal at any point in the day and I only run if I am at gunpoint or if there is bacon involved. I had a blog, I don't now. That should cover it. Thanks! Good luck on the rest of your pregnancy!

Hey. My blog name is Non Sequitur Chica (www.nonsequiturchica.blogspot.com) and I have a husband and a Bernese Mountain dog. My husband and I are currently trying to get pregnant, despite your warning posts. :-) We are currently living in a small town that I am dying to get out of and will be moving to a much bigger place in a few weeks. Yay!

Ashley is so obsessed with monogramming that she when she got married, she decided her name change based on her new initials: ABC (vs. ASC, her other option, which is not nearly as awesome). She writes over at a place called The Start of the Alphabet (click the name, you'll get there!), and even though she's not a mommy yet, she has a slightly frightening (to her husband) obsession with pregnancy/baby/mommy blogs. She found Jillybee Momma via OMGMom, who is her #1 blog crush. Jillybee's up there on the list though, because she has the same straight-shooting, smart-ass mouth that Ashley can so easily relate to. (She also over-uses parentheses, but you can't win all the time.)

Hey BFF! (That's what I call you in my head while reading your blog) My name is Betsy and I'm 30 years old. I have one child, Quinten, who just had a half birthday, 6 months old! He is absolutely the COOLEST thing I ever made :) I am addicted to cloth diapering, but as a single mom, I am slowly growing my stash. So I use cloth AND disposables.
Quinten and I live in a small town in Oregon. We LOVE your nursery by the way. We're all about cows and horses here!
Hmmm... Let's see. What else? I aspire to make all my own baby food and start making Quinten some clothes, including cloth diapers. I have the sewing machine, just need to learn how to use it :)
I don't have a blog, yet, but hope to start one in the next couple of months because everyone wants to know about our life, right?

Mrs H said...

My name is Sara, but I tend to comment by Mrs H. (mainly b/c that's my google profile and I'm lazy). Baby girl on the way in a few months that I want to name Audrey, but my husband and entire family hate that name so we're probably going to name her Nicola. I love reading your blog to hear someone else complain about the gross bodily effects of pregnancy.
My own personal embaressing story happened yesterday evening. I'm just starting to feel what I think are flutters from the litte Miss, so I tried to get my husband to come feel my belly to see if he could feel it to. Thankfully he was busy and didn't make it over for the "baby kicks" b/c they turned out to just be gas. Lovely.
I am an HR Manager and work all the live long day, but avoid as much of it as possible reading blogs.
Every other day I think about starting a blog and then I change my mind. Some day maybe....

Maranda is a 20-something, skydiving-enthusiast, photography-loving, country girl living in a small town in Washington, pursuing physical therapy. She lives with her boyfriend and their 5 month old puppy, Molly. Maranda loves blogging (although sometimes slacks off), and is obsessed with pregnancy/mommy blogs, even though she isn't pregnant and has no babies. She has been pregnant twice though (accidentally, and both ended in miscarriage). Check her out! http://marandalamping.blogspot.com

My name is Brandi, and I've been married two months the man that I've actually been with for about 8 years. We're both full time students, and I bring home the bacon, because someday soon I plan to make him do it so I can be a SAHM. We live in a zoo, and although I don't yet have children, I clean up more poop than I care to think about. I love mommy blogs (especially hilarious ones like yours!) mostly because we still have several years before we'll be able to have a baby, and I'm super jealous. We haven't totally ruled out the possibility of one biological child, but we'd rather adopt. Until then, I have to settle with living vicariously through blogs and cuddling my ragamuffin critters.

My name is Shanea, I am due on sunday (Aug first) with a baby boy, going to name him Tienan (ty nin). I have a cat that isn't very bright (to the point of sitting on the window sill, chasing his tail, and therefore falling off). I work at fairs in the washington state area, and am still working. :D And I spend more time at my mother's house then most 18 year olds would like to, but I love it.

My name is Amanda, I am mom to an awesometastic 1 year old boy named Gavin. We live in good ole TN. I recently started a blog: reallyyesthisismylife.blogspot.com Yeah i know, it's a long A name, don't ask. It's not much now, but hopefully the next few years will bring lots of excitement to talk about. I also tend to start projects that I never finish because I overestimate my craftiness and get bummed out when they start sucking half way through.

My name is Amber and I started following/reading/stalking after Mandy at OMGMom (who I have followed/read/stalked since she was on WeddingBee) linked to you. Love you both, seriously I do! I live in AZ and not in some big city that you might have heard on the news. We are right on the border of CA, AZ and Mexico. There is no Trader Joe's or Gymboree in town, and more tractors on the roads than I care to count. I have 2 kids from my 1st marriage, one boy and one girl. They are 6 & 8 years old. I would love another, but it might kill me (at least that is what my mother thinks). I did exclusive breastfeeding with both, cloth diapered partially with both and had WAY to many clothes for my daughter. I married my husband last Sept, so it has almost been a year now. I have a party planning type blog (that started as a wedding blog) to show off the over the top parties my mom & I throw. http://twokidsandaparty.blogspot.com/

My blog name is Bam Balam (my hubby's nickname for me). I live with my brand-spanking-new husband in Baltimore with our two dogs. We spend our days working hard for the money and our nights and weekends finding fun things to do. I'm very new to blogging and found yours through OMG mom. I like how you talk about your neighbors and in-laws, and I also cannot explain it but i like the show teen mom too!

My names Ophelia and I am a twenty year old who is getting ready to marry her fabulous Fiance in October. We bought a cute house last year in Rhode Island and we live there with our two dogs, cat, and Fiance's dad. I am in school full-time so my Fiance brings home the bacon. I am obsessed with pregnancy/baby blogs though we are going to try and wait until I am done with school to have a little darling. I cannot wait to be a SAHM! I am also in the process of expanding my cooking abilities :) I hope to move to a rural area in another state (thinking about Maine of PA) in a few years...I love rural areas! I have a facebook but not a blog. I love yours!

Aubrey here. Newlywed (almost 1 year - wohoo) but have been together with hubs for 9 years now. We've recently started TTC and that's been really exciting! Love reading your funny stories and look forward to the day I can share my take on the 9-month experience.

We have 2 english bulldog puppies who I post a lot about.

I like to watch trashy tv (but haven't gotten around to Teen Mom yet.. I guess I should, huh?), read, sometimes run, and eat!

Hope you can check me out sometime! I'm sure we can be good friends :)

HI, I'm Megan and I'm a 26 year old wife of 3 years and a SAHM to Aiden (2 months today!) and a 5 year old yorkie, Parker. I live smack dab in the middle of IL but am originally from a suburb of Chicago which I miss (can't get the Chicago style pizza down here). I found you from OMG Mom and love you just as much as her. Your posts brighten my day and sometimes make me wet a little bit! I do not cloth diaper, call me lazy and unearth friendly (sorry!) but I just didn't really want to do it. My son sleeps in our room still in his pack n play to which my hubby asks everyday when he can move to his room, he probably just wants hanky panky!
I do have a blog for my business to which I never update, http://expressionspaperie.blogspot.com/ I should probably get on that. OH and I love WI for their cheese. I'm a cheesehead and can't get me enough of them curds! Good thing I just live "down" South from you so I can occassionally feed my obsession!

Carm from Cbarwife.wordpress.com here.
Just recently got back into blogging after taking a hiatus during wedding planning. Newlywed, as of November 2009. Found you through OMGmom who I've been obsessed with since I found her on Weddingbee---she's hysterical and I love that you write in the same tell-it-like-it-is style. Why don't people tell you that crap in real life!
Not a mommy yet, but here's hoping for some time in the next few months! I'm an elementary school teacher in the DC area. Obsessed with cheese, facebook, Food Network, my 2 nieces and my fat, loveable cat Fuzz.

Amy is a late-20s bride-to-be hailing from the great state of Wisconsin. She lives with her fiancĂ© and her cat-who-thinks-she’s-a-dog (seriously!) in downtown Milwaukee, loves sports (in particular football and baseball) and is considered quite the connoisseur of beer and cheese (and wine!). Other loves include blogging, reading, reality TV, and Step class. She found Jillybee Momma through OMGMom, and although Amy has no children, she loves the way these two gals shoot off at the mouth about real life & parenting! :)

It's me, you KNOW me already. Hah, kidding.

I'm Sara Lyn over at musingsofamommy.com. I'm 30, have one son named Parker, a black pekinese named Izzy (looks exactly like that playboy bunny Bridget's dog from the girl's next door). We also have a huage, fatass cat named Ava. I'm now pissed I used Ava for her name as it was my fav girl's name back when I thought I would never have kids. Good thing I had a boy. I've got a golf pro hubs that made me move to the south so that he could do that damn golf thing year round. Oh well, at least I'm done with that snow crap.
We are thinking about having another one of these loud munchkins because we are insane, and have fooled ourselves into thinking that it will be SO MUCH EASIER now that we know what to expect. But we ARE madly in love with our Parker, so I suppose that counts too.
I recently decided it would be a REALLY good idea to throw away the two degrees I already have and go to school for nursing. FUN. Oddly enough, I want to be a labor and delivery nurse - go figure. I'm sure I will have even more tons 'o fun information when I get to that part of my classes and can talk in great detail with you all about the interesting things I will actually SEE when you are giving birth. Oh, I also work full time because I'm crazy like that. Yeeeha!

I'm Kelli. I'm 26, married, and mom to Aiden who will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. We live in a suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth. We have a two and a half year old sheltie named Sassy, and she's insanely jealous of Aiden (she's currently crawling in my lap while the hubs is feeding him).I'm a medical social worker turned social studies teacher. The hubs is a nursing home social worker and will be (thankfully) finishing his master's degree in August. I like crafts, dance, trashy tv, blog reading and writing, traveling, and all things Disney. I am an unashamed Jonas Brothers fan (don't hate). I found you through OMGMom and I love your blog (and Teen Mom chats!) just as much. My blog address is adamsnotaddamsfamily.blogspot.com

I've been reading you daily ever since I found your blog through OMGmom's. Like others, love reading preg/baby blogs even though i am neither! As much as I love reading others', i don't blog myself. Oh, and I also love Teen Mom and am rooting for Maci. Looking forward to reading more! One question... does ur husband, MIL, Husband's fam read this? Are they cool with your stories? :) Just wondering!

My name is Beth...I have a blog about a whole lot of nothing called Bella Bee Bee (Because I'm not creative, at all and the link...http://bellabeebee.blogspot.com). I'm 24, I'm not married and I have no kids and I'm not pregnant but I teach pre-school so I feel like I'm the mother of 25 3 year olds and a few toddlers and infants and 5 year olds as well. I'm addicted to blogs lately and that's about the extent of the excitement of my life.

PS - You crack me the freak up.

I don't know if I would have time to update it though because I read/stalk like 5 blogs religiously. I'll let you know if I start one! Can't wait for Jilly to come so we can see pictures and hear your tell-it-like-it-is mommy stories!

My blog is not about nachos despite the name. I love your blog and how you say everything on your mind. I found you through omg mom mandy when you guest blogged while she was in Hawaii. I wrote a comment when you had the Teen Mom chat. Unforturnately I do not have cable so I can not participate but I have seen the most recent episodes and omgoodness I love the show. Well anyways, I can not wait to hear more of your stories!! Thanks for entertaining me at work haha.

Hey! I'm Sarah. I found your blog through OMGMom (love her!). I'm 26 (will be 27 next Tuesday). I've been married to the love of my life for 4+ years. We have 3 sons, ages 2 1/2, 15 months and 6 weeks. Their names are Carter, Caleb and Camden. They bring so much life to our family. I'm so thankful for them. I used to be self-employed as a hairstylist (for 7 years), but after baby #3 was on the way, we decided for me to become a full time stay at home mom. I love it.

I have a blog, but I'm not much of a writer and I haven't updated my blog in many many months. So I'll just leave the blogging to people like you and omgmom. :)
